The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center will be hosting their annual city-wide Harvest Festival and Street Art Auction on Saturday, September 20 starting at 9am.
A bountiful fall day on Third Ave with loads of fun, food, vintage cars, bands, dj’s, shopping, kids activities, and a street dance under the stars. Start your day viewing vintage cars and hot rods while enjoying great music, a huge assortment of food choices, and beverages. For more information on the Car Show, click here. Next wander to another live music stage and shop along the way, gourd painting, crafts (click here for vendor information), and more stores. As Harvest Festival wraps up, the incredible auction of the street art begins. Up to 20 – 8 foot long incredible sturgeons will be auctioned off to the highest bidder – live, fast moving, and fun. Once the auction is over, kick back or kick your heels up and enjoy more live music, fun, food and drink at our Harvest Moon Celebration! A full, fall day, here in Sturgeon Bay.

2014 is the 15th year the street art sturgeons swim through the beautiful historic streets of Sturgeon Bay.
The sturgeon street art is a tradition for families, locals, and visitors to take a walk and visit all of the sturgeons around the shopping districts of Sturgeon Bay. The unique sturgeons are located throughout Sturgeon Bay at local businesses and are available at an exciting auction held September 20, 2014 on Third Avenue in front of the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (36 S. Third Ave).
Whether you are looking for that special new piece for your yard, garden, business or whether you consider yourself a collector or art enthusiast, YOU are invited to join us at this fun & exciting event! If you are unable to attend the event, please see below for an absentee bid and we will help you bid for your favorite sturgeon!
The street art originally started as a fundraising event for local non-profits, but turned into a beautification project and fundraiser for the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, a non-profit organization. Half of the proceeds of the sturgeon sale benefits the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center and the other half goes to the artist.
Auctioneers will begin the auction at 6pm right in front of the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center located at 36 S. Third Avenue. Join us for the previewing from 9am to 5pm. The sturgeons will be moved in front of the visitor center the week before the auction. You can pick your favorite! Your generous bids truly make a difference in promoting and beautifying Sturgeon Bay, Door County.
