Farmer’s Market Every Saturday

Saturday, June 19, 2010

One reason that people are buying local is to support the small farmer. Farming is both a way of life and an occupation. It also is important to the sight, smell and taste of Sturgeon Bay culture. Produce is ripened on the plant and is often picked the day you purchase it. This means that the produce is fresh, fully developed and contains more nutrients. By buying directly from local farmers, you are getting the freshest, best- tasting food while contributing to a strong, local economy and helping preserve the Door County landscape.

The Sturgeon Bay Farmers Market is unique because you will meet the people producing the food. Not only will you find your local Sturgeon Bay cherries but in addition you will locate your herbs, vegetables, fruit and discover the taste of Sturgeon Bay!

Farmer's Market in Market Square, downtown Sturgeon Bay by City Hall. Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. For more information call (920) 746-2914.
