Any trip to Door County should involve an orchard. This time of year calls you to gather crisp, juicy apples! Whether they’re already picked or you want the experience of picking your own, Door County has plenty, as we’re the largest apple growing region in Wisconsin!
Sturgeon Bay is home to a handful of vast orchards just waiting for you. The apple crop usually ripens from mid-September to mid-October, depending on the variety and will usually begin in the southern part of the county.
