Fire & Ice Weekend - So Hot…It’s Cool!
Are you ready for Fire & Ice Weekend? Watch snow and ice sculptors create beautiful works of art throughout Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, February 17. Cash prizes and the People’s Choice Award are on the line for the brave sculptors who will take on the cold.
Brush off your dancing shoes, grab your suit, tie, or dress, and hit the dance floor at the 2018 Fire & Ice Gala at Stone Harbor Resort.
Snow and Ice Carving
Carvers will “break the ice” at 9 a.m. with a city wide ice and snow carving competition. Novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional artists will be carving in front of Sturgeon Bay businesses for a chance to win cash prizes and the People’s Choice Award.
Stroll the streets, and spend the day shopping, dining, and admiring artists transform a 300 pound ice and snow block into jaw dropping masterpieces.
All ages are welcome to participate (carvers under 18 must have parental supervision to use power tools)! No experience is necessary. Tools are available to borrow for a $10 refundable deposit. Everyone is welcome to attend the award ceremony at 3 p.m. in the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center office at 36 S. Third Avenue.
