City Park Hours
May 1st through October 31st – Sunrise to 10:00 pm
November 1st through April 30th – Sunrise to 9:00pm
City Park Rules
No camping allowed in city parks or recreation areas.
No pets allowed in city parks.
No glass containers allowed in city parks.
No alcoholic beverages allowed in city parks without a separate permit.

Bay View Park
One-acre park on the west side of Sturgeon Bay at Madison Avenue and Lawton Place. This is a great place to relax, fish and view the waters of Sturgeon Bay, the shipbuilding industry, highway bridge and boating activity. The area is handicapped accessible with ramped fishing deck and viewing area at the end of the railroad spur. Picnic tables, benches and gazebo are available. Limited parking and no restroom facilities.
Cherry Blossom Park
Approximately 5-1/2 acres located near the West Side Industrial Park on South Lansing Avenue. Handicapped accessible facilities include shelter building with restrooms and a walking, jogging and biking trail. Volleyball court, general purpose athletic field, play equipment, benches and picnic tables.
Crossroads at Big Creek, Hwy 42/57 and County TT
Crossroads at Big Creek Historical and Environmental Learning Preserve offers educational and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of Door County. Programs and special events are offered at the Collins Learning Center, the historical village, and the Leif Everson Astronomical Observatory. The nature preserve can be enjoyed from five miles of hiking/ski trails. Admission is free. Listings of programs can be found in local newspapers. Crossroads at Big Creek is located at the intersection of Highway 42/57 and Michigan (County Road TT) in Sturgeon Bay. www.crossroadsatbigcreek.org
Franke Park
Six and a half acres on the southwest side of Sturgeon Bay at Clay Banks Road and Strawberry Lane. This land was donated to the City by the Franke family to be preserved in its natural state, allowing for the opportunity to walk along the constructed quarter mile path and enjoy the wetland area with signs identifying the natural vegetation. Path is handicapped accessible from the parking area. No restroom facilities.
Garland Park
Two acres located on Jefferson Street. It is the city's oldest park, containing picnic facilities and restrooms in a rustic setting. Although the restrooms are not handicapped accessible, the park does have a 296' long wheelchair fitness course containing parallel bars, chin-up bars, horizontal ladder and stretch beam on the upper area of the park.
John Miles Fair Park
North 14th Avenue. Fifty-nine acres; location of the annual Door County Fair. Every Saturday night from mid-May through mid-September stock car races are held starting at 6pm.
Lawrence Big Hill Park
Ten acres located at the end of North 9th Avenue. Small picnic area with a few activity bars is set in a grove of mature pine trees. Access to the park can also be gained by a stairway located on Jefferson Street across from Garland Park. No restroom facilities available.
Little Creek Parkway
Over five acres along South 16th Place left in its natural state with plans for a walking path in the near future.
Market Square Park
One acre at Michigan Street and 4th Avenue. Small landscaped area containing limited benches. From late June through October on Saturday mornings, 9am-12:30pm, Farm Craft Market is held on the large black-topped portion of this area. All items are locally grown or handcrafted.
Martin Park
Approximately one acre located on South 3rd Avenue. There are picnic tables and children's equipment located to the rear of the area.
Otumba Park
Three acres located at West Juniper and North Joliet Avenue on the west side of Sturgeon Bay. Facilities include picnic shelter building with restrooms, playground equipment, beach area, two lighted tennis courts, one lighted basketball court, parking area and walkway connecting to waterfront. Offers a beautiful view of the adjacent shoreline looking toward Green Bay waters.
Potawatomi Park
One of five state parks in Door County, Potawatomi features over two miles of rugged Sturgeon Bay shoreline, beautiful stands of hemlock, beech and red pine trees and spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes and waterways. Hiking, biking, boating, fishing, cross country skiing, an observation tower, picnic areas, camp sites, nature programs and more all await you at this true gem of a park. Sunset Park
Forty-one acres on the east side of North 3rd Avenue, including 18-acre Little Lake. Facilities include Frank Grasse Shelter building with restrooms (limited handicapped accessibility), swimming beach, 4 tennis courts (2 lighted), 1 basketball court, exercise course (1-1/3 mile long with 11 stations), 2-lane launching ramp, transient docking pier (2-hour limit), 1/2 mile walking, jogging, biking trail and 2 areas with playground equipment. Enjoy six holes of disc golf. Popular location for shore fishing or just enjoying the sunset over the bay.
Waterfront Walkways
Waterfront walkways are available by Otumba Park, adjacent to Bridgeport Waterfront Resort, Applebee's and the Maritime Museum on the west side. On the east side, the waterfront walkway runs adjacent to Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center.
Woodside Park
Approximately two acres located on the corner of Lansing and Hwy 42/57 with ¼ mile walking/nature trail.
