ARTSY FARTSY

Sturgeon Bay and Door County is a creative person's haven.  With galleries and artist's shops, specialty shops that supply artisans, craft fairs and the museums in the area, there's always something to do.
Check the Calendar of Festivities for the latest on events with artistic flair. As for galleries, there are four: Audrey M. Off Gallery & Framery, Bliss and Popelka-Trenchard Glass as well as many others, in addition to many gift shops that carry artists' work.  When it comes to artisans, many of our jewelers rank among the best: Draeb Jewelers, Gold & Silver Creations, Gwendolyn's and T. Simon Jewelers.
With two art museums in the area, Miller Art Museum and the Fairfield Center for Contemporary Art, there's plenty to be inspired by.  In case you're running out of supplies, there are many stores in the area that supply craftspeople as well as artists: Artists Guild, TemptationsBarn Door Quilts, and Apple Hollow Fiber Arts, many of which will demonstrate techniques and offer classes.  Try your newly discovered talents out at many of our picturesque parks a la plein air.
