LADIES WHO LUNCH TOUR

Indulge yourself, ladies, and take your girlfriends with you on vacation.  Leave your work, kids, husband, parents and cares at the Door County line.  Shop the weekend away on our city streets, taste our famous wines at the local vineyards, enjoy sophisticated meals with out so much as a "What's this?!" or "Casserole, again?", indulge in a new haircut or massage at one of our salons or spas, or sample some delectable chocolates at a local confectionary.  While it might be a cliché to enjoy everything feminine, let's admit it, it's FUN!
With many resorts in the area offering hotel suites, you can enjoy a slumber party without having to share a bathroom with your best-girlfriend: try the private settings of Glidden Lodge, Westwood Shores, Bayshore Inn or settle yourself in the thick of Sturgeon Bay's downtown at Stone Harbor Resort.  Maybe days spent on the beach appeal to you; pick from any of our cottages and homes, such as All-Seasons Sand Bay, Andropolis Cottages, J.R. Vacation Rentals, The Norways, Shore Cliff Cottage, Shoreline Cottages, Thenell Cottage, that are for rent in the area.  What morning would not begin without an espresso or healthy start? Try the café atmosphere at the Bluefront Café, Inn at Cedar Crossing, Door County Coffee Factory or Kick Coffee.  With many areas with walk-able shopping districts, there's bound to be something to interest everyone. Jefferson Street specializes in specialty shops, Third Avenue is the historic shopping district, Madison Avenue features stores with home décor and vintage finds in mind, Green Bay Road has direct access to the highway and Carlsville provides a small-town atmosphere.  For personal indulgences, let us suggest blue ivy contemporary clothing, Rant'n'Rave, Latitude 45, On Deck Clothing Company, or Wilkins & Olander.  To spoil those you love, visit: Alley Katz Boutique, Door County Stove Dog Bakery & BathhouseDancing Bear, Small World Market, Abby's Monkey Business, Native Affairs, Healthy Way or the Lang Store/Door County Candles.  And lastly, to feather your nest: Northern Territory, Country Cabin, Door County Charm, Beachside Cottage, Starr's Shop of Flooring, Younkers or the Sturgeon Bay Florist.  (Anything you forgot to pack? Like a toothbrush? Visit Wal-mart or Target.)
Shopping until you drop can be rewarded with a pedicure for your tired feet or other service at one of our beauty salons or spas. The Cut Hut and the Clipper's Mate Salon located on the Westside of Sturgeon Bay will assist with your nail treatments and new hairstyles.  The Yankee Clipper in our historic Third Avenue shopping district welcomes walk-ins and Saugaro Day Spa offers the latest in facials and massage.
With Door County right on the 45th parallel, the area makes for great wine country. With three wineries in the immediate vicinity, there are plenty of opportunities for sampling Door County's offerings.  Red Oak Winery is located on Third Avenue, as well as Door Peninsula Winery and Simon Creek Vineyard located in Carlsville.
What goes better with wine than chocolate? Third Avenue is home to  Door County Confectionery.  They deliver some of the best fudge in the state.
When you feel compelled to dress up and go out for the evening there are culinary delicacies to be had at Sage Restaurant, Stone Harbor Restaurant and Pub, or The Vineyard.  Located throughout the city are bars that occasionally have entertainment on the weekends.
