The Holiday Parade begins  at 10am followed by a meet and greet with Santa at the Door County Historical Museum,  and in-store specials throughout  the  Sturgeon Bay business districts.

The parade begins at Sawyer Park, marches up Oak Street, proceeds down Madison Avenue, crosses the Oregon Street  bridge, advances down Third, and ends at the intersection of Jefferson Street  and Third Avenue.

The weekend comes to a close during brunch with Santa at Stone Harbor Resort on Sunday 9:30-11am.

Thrills on Third

Throughout Sturgeon Bay

A day of festive Halloween fun for the entire family! Activities include  a costume parade, costume contest, haunted house and food for purchase at Boys and Girls Club, slime making at the library, and trick-or-treating throughout downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Gather at  Community Foundation Square, 222 N 3rd Avenue   at 9:45am for costume judging.  The free costume parade is open to all, including pets!  Floats are not permitted.    At 10am, all participants will march down to   Martin Park, 207 S. Third Avenue for the   awarding of  the costume winners.

After the parade, participants are encouraged to walk back along Third Avenue to take part in trick-or-treating at participating businesses until 1pm.

Harvest Fest, Street Art Auction & Classic Car Show

Usher in the spirit of autumn with a bountiful day on Third Avenue starting at 9am. Sturgeon Bay is the first Door County community to kick off the fall festivities for the season. The day features a classic car show (100+ cars), craft show, food and drink, in-store specials, children's activities and live entertainment. 

Throughout the day, head over to Martin Park to preview all uniquely decorated chairs as part of the  2020  CHAIRries street art program. All chairs have been embellished by artists and have been featured along the streets of Sturgeon Bay since mid-May. All CHAIRries will be available for purchase during the live, street art auction on Saturday, September 19  beginning at 5pm in Martin Park. If unable to attend, but are interested in purchasing one or more of the chairs, please call the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center at (920) 743-6246 to place an absentee bid by Friday at noon.

Sturgeon Bay Celebrates 4th of July

Celebrate this Independence Day with a bang in Sturgeon Bay. The 4th of July festivities begin at 5pm at Sunset Park. Enjoy a variety of food and beverages, an old fashioned ice cream social and taking in the beautiful waterfront view. Unity the Band, a reggae band out of Milwaukee, will take the stage at 6pm and rock the park until dusk. The spectacular fireworks show will light up Sturgeon Bay’s sky at dusk (approximately 9 or 9:30pm).

Head over to the beautiful, waterfront  Sunset Park over Memorial Day Weekend 2020 for the 22nd  annual  Fine Art Fair. Find the perfect piece of handcrafted art from this popular two-day, juried event. A variety of mediums will be available including pottery, painting, jewelry, printmaking, metal and so much more. Admission is free to see over 90 artists  from around the U.S.

Kids and families are welcome to paint a wooden sturgeon and take it home. Don’t forget to visit the raffle tent to win a unique, masterpiece of art created by one of the featured artists at the event. Delicious food, children's activities, live entertainment and an awesome DJ  will also be on site. The Fine Art Fair happens on Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

Ease your winter doldrums with a bit o’ Irish cheer at the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Sturgeon Bay!

Mark your calendar for March 14, 2020  and enjoy the festive parade and live entertainment offered at venues throughout the city. Stake out your spot for watching the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Paraders begin at 11 a.m. from Sawyer Park on the west side, proceed west on Oak Street  to Madison Avenue. Once on Madison, the parade heads north  onto Maple Street over the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge to Third Avenue.  At Martin Park, paraders turn onto Third Avenue and march to the finish at Jefferson Street.

The Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP) is eight efficient sessions to help you develop a plan for a thriving, profitable business. In this program, you will learn to identify customers, determine their needs and analyze that information into a feasible plan for starting or growing your business.

•  Identify opportunities and market your business.
•  Understand and get your business financials in order.
•  Get funding for your business.

Your cost is only $250 if you complete an accepted business plan. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) provides the remaining $750 in tuition assistance.
