March 13, 2021

Open Door Bird Sanctuary schedules 2 winter “open to the public” dates for 2021.

Open Door Bird Sanctuary, located at 4114 County Road I, will be offering 2 open days this winter season  -  Saturdays, February 13  and March 13.

Open times are 11am to 3pm on both days.    Admission is just $3.00 per person.

Visitors to the sanctuary can view all the resident raptors in their outdoor aviaries including special meet n greet sessions with select birds and their ODBS volunteer handlers.  The 3 hiking trails will be open for hiking, XC skiing, and snowshoeing.  There will be a campfire and hot beverages provided both days to help stay warm in the winter weather.

Folks who come out to ODBS on either date will have the first opportunity to meet Mesa, the newest raptor resident at the sanctuary.  Mesa is a Golden Eagle that arrived in November.  He has adjusted well to his new life at ODBS, and is now ready to meet the public!
