Explore and get an inside look at the many Door County lighthouses during the Door County Lighthouse Festival. This 27th annual, weekend event allows visitors to tour the inside of several lighthouses that are typically not open to the public year round.

Take a unique tour to view these lighthouses from different perspectives- Door County Trolley tour, driving or kayak around.  This is your chance to experience Sturgeon Bay lighthouses like you’ve never seen them before.

22nd Annual Fine Art Fair

Fire and Ice Festival

Stroll around town to witness novice and professional carvers turn blocks of snow and ice into works of art beginning at 9am!

Christmas by the Bay

Christmas by the Bay presented with Nicolet National Bank— Kick off the holiday season during the annual tree lighting ceremony near the clock tower on Third Avenue on Friday, November 22, 2019! The fun continues Saturday, with the Holiday Parade at 10am followed by a meet and greet with Santa at the Door County Historical Museum and in-store specials throughout the city.

The weekend comes to a close during brunch with Santa at Stone Harbor Resort on Sunday 9:30-11am.

Harvest Fest & Street Art Auction

Usher in the spirit of autumn with a bountiful day on Third Avenue starting at 9am. Sturgeon Bay is the first Door County community to kick off the fall festivities for the season. The day features a classic car show (100+ cars), craft show, food and drink, in-store specials, children's activities and live entertainment. Hot Off the Grill will be rocking the streets and getting people on their feet from 11am-4pm.

Throughout the day, head over to Martin Park to preview all uniquely decorated chairs as part of the 2019 CHAIRries street art program. All chairs have been embellished by artists and have been featured along the streets of Sturgeon Bay since mid-May. All CHAIRries will be available for purchase during the live, street art auction on Saturday, September 21 beginning at 5pm in Martin Park. If unable to attend, but are interested in purchasing one or more of the chairs, please call the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center at (920) 743-6246 to place an absentee bid.

Nicolet Bank Tall Ships® Parade of Sail Salute

We are excited to see the tall ships return to Sturgeon Bay after the Nicolet Bank Tall Ships® Festival in Green Bay. Tall Ships will sail through Sturgeon Bay with docking overnight!

Nine ships will be heading into Sturgeon Bay from the Bay of Green Bay this year. They will muster by Sherwood Point and then come in under sail tentatively between 3pm and 5pm  on Monday, July 29. The ships that are partaking in the Tall Ship Challenge will depart approximately 8am Tuesday morning, July 30. They will sail to Algoma for the start and they will race from there to Kenosha.

Refreshments by the SBVC and food by Scats Got Your Tongue will be available at Graham Park the evening of July 29! Transportation by Door County Trolley and sponsored by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center will be making the rounds and have stops at the following  locations:

Stone Harbor Public Boardwalk (1st and Kentucky) ~ Corner Cafe (3rd and Louisiana) ~ CenterPointe Yacht Services (1st Avenue) ~ Graham Park (1st Avenue and Oregon) ~ Sawyer Park (Oregon Street Bridge and Neenah Avenue) ~ Door County Maritime Museum (Michigan and Madison Avenue).

Sail Thru the Avenues Sidewalk Sale

Shop the streets throughout Sturgeon Bay and get super sales and deals at the annual Sail Thru the Avenues Sidewalk Sale from 9am to 5pm. Take advantage of the unique shops, boutiques, and retail outlets. Third Avenue will be closed to traffic from Jefferson St. to Michigan St. to provide a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.

However, the sales continue throughout all of Sturgeon Bay- including but not limited to- Jefferson St., Madison Ave., Egg Harbor Rd., and Green Bay Rd.. Enjoy live music by DJ Michael Raye, food and drinks, and family-friendly games and activities while you shop.

From blues to rock, country to jazz, there is music for everyone's taste. This year's music line-up is set to delight!

Below is the list of upcoming performances, so you can plan your summer evenings! All performances take place in Martin Park at 7 pm.   Bring your blanket or lawn chair to enjoy an evening of music outdoors in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Enjoy the Scat's Got Your Tongue food truck and beverages by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center.

If the weather is too windy or rainy, concerts will be held at The Lodge at Leathem Smith. Please check out our Facebook page for up to the minute location changes.
