Fire and Ice Festival

Visit Downtown Sturgeon Bay to watch snow and ice carvers turn blocks of snow and ice into works of art beginning at 9am on February 15, 2020! This city-wide  snow and ice carving competition combines novice, intermediate, advanced and professional winter artists from all over the Midwest. Carvers will be in front of Sturgeon Bay businesses and will have an opportunity to win cash prizes. Everyone is welcome to attend the award ceremony at the Destination Sturgeon Bay Welcome Center beginning at 3pm.

There will also be a free trolley around Sturgeon Bay from 10:30am - 2:30pm with various stops around Downtown Sturgeon Bay. Stroll the streets on Saturday, February 15 and spend the day shopping in-store specials and admiring artists transform 300 lbs. of ice and snow into winter masterpieces! 

Fire & Ice event brochures with ice and snow block locations will be available at local businesses and the Destination Sturgeon Bay Welcome Center. Included in every brochure is a People's Choice ballot - pick your favorite and cast your vote! 

Returning this year (weather permitting) is master blacksmith, James Viste. Join James in Martin Park as he demonstrates the art of blacksmithing and create a mini masterpiece of your own! 

The Door County Maritime Museum will be offering free admission to children 17 and under with a paid adult admission on Saturday and Sunday. 

Saturday evening the fun continues during the annual Fire & Ice Gala with live music by The FBI and Untouchable Horns at Stone Harbor Resort. This black tie optional event is one that you won't want to miss. Delectable food, enticing beverages, unique auction items, fantastic music, and a Bubbles & Bling Raffle, presented by T. Simon Jewelers will also be offered! 

For the third year, the silent and live auctions have gone mobile! Start bidding on auctions items beginning on February 13, 2020 online or by downloading the Handbid mobile app.

You can purchase tickets for the Fire & Ice Gala through Destination Sturgeon Bay. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased individually or in tables of 10.
