Christmas By the Bay: Sparkling Sturgeon Bay Holiday Spirit

Sturgeon Bay is getting ready to announce, “Happy Holidays!” at the annual Christmas by the Bay event November 16-18. You don’t want to miss out on the numerous family holiday activities and memories that will be made.

What better way to bring in this holiday season than with a tree lighting ceremony? Head to the Third Avenue Clock Tower, 327 Kentucky Street, on Friday, November 16  at 6pm to countdown the tree lighting ceremony.

Lights go on at 7pm! Sing along to holiday tunes with the talented Hervy Hodges, Mike Raye, and Josh Gregory.

Listen to the beautiful sound of carolers as the Sturgeon Bay High School Choir carols along Third Avenue. Enjoy a relaxing stroll around town on a horse-drawn wagon ride (Compliments of Nicolet National Bank and Door County Medical Center).

Get ready for the festive holiday parade on Saturday, November 17 at 10am. The parade begins at Sawyer Park, marches up Oak Street, proceeds down Madison Avenue, crosses the Oregon Street  bridge, advances down Third, and ends at the intersection of Jefferson Street  and Third Avenue.

If you would like to participate in the parade, call (920) 743-6246 or email vacation@sturgeonbay.net.   Animals are welcome in the parade and participation is free.

Meet and take pictures with Santa on Saturday, November 17 at the Door County Historical Museum, 18 N. 4th Avenue, from 11am-2pm.

Don’t forget to ride the horse-drawn wagon and Door County Trolley!  Pick up is at Door County Eye Associates. (Trolley rides available until 5pm, compliments of Door County Eye Associates and Sherry’s Hallmark Shop)

Treat yourself to a scrumptious breakfast with Santa on Sunday, November 18  at Stone Harbor Resort, 107 N. 1st Avenue, from 9-11am. Reservations are required.

Children are encouraged to place their letters to Santa in the mailbox in front of the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, 36 S. 3rd Avenue, beginning Friday, November 16.

Happy holidays from the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center. We’ll see you at Christmas by the Bay 2018!
